Verdillac Bordeaux Blanc 2008

March 18, 2010

Wandering thru Central Market, wanted to do something light and easy, grilled shrimp. Saw the Verdillac Bordeaux Blanc 2008, heck is only $9! Grabbed it, figuring it would pair well. I'd enjoyed the Verdillac in years past.  This vintage is every bit as good. Clean, crisp lime/lemony citrus nose, with a hint of herb. The palate is equally clean, crisp and lime/lemon and herb, with a nice roundness to balance out the bright lively acids. An excellent food pairing choice!

Drink this wine.

Cheers,
