Argentina Fest at Central Market 3: Bodega Tamari Malbec Reserva 2008

May 13, 2010

Argentina Fest at Central Market 3: Bodega Tamari Malbec Reserva 2008, IP Mendoza.  A nice mid tier Malbec, showing a warm nose, some red and black fruit, with a lightness.  The palate is somewhat bright fruit and somewhat earthy tar.  A nice combination of the two, actually. Fairly broad in depth, but not overly complex.  A nice splash of spice underneath the earthy fruit.  At $12 its a decent value bottle. A good pair with grilled meat, I had it with grilled Strip steak and chimichurri sauce and it worked nicely.

Drink this Wine

Cheers,
